Philippines Update
I spent the happiest years of my life in the Philippines, and I count many Filipinos as close friends, even after more than 20 years. I was thrilled when their president threatened to arrest and shoot people for not wearing masks in public and did so.
They did well for a long time, but the virus is kicking them around now.

The country is doing worse than others in Asia, but far better than the US and UK.
