US Incidence Stable or Rising

New cases seem to be peaking in the US. In contrast Europe has a greater  incidence rate the US.

Europe and the US each have about 70% of its population immunized. It may be that the large number of right-wing republicans, science deniers, and every-man-for-himself evangelicals acquired natural antibodies—or died. In either event, they decreased the risk for the rest of us.

The scattering of omicron cases in the US and Europe is causing a great kerfuffle among columnists and cratered the most important part of the stock market—my suffering portfolio.

It’s too early to know the impact of the new variant. Reported cases seem mild, but some areas report rapid spread.

It’ll take a few weeks to be sure what’s going on. In the meanwhile, I’d advise you to buy stock while it is cheap. You’ll soon know how good my stock-buying advice is.

Drugs Should Work Against Omicron Varient

Molnuprenivir and ritonavir do not rely on the spike protein to inhibit covid-19 replication, so they should be effective against the omicron variant. More on this soon.
